Hello!

It has been a very long while since the last time I posted! I have read two books in that time-well almost two books! I’m literally on the last few pages of the latest book that I’m reading. I was meant to post this a couple of days ago but as it’s becoming the build up to Christmas I have not really had the time! Plus I have tons of work to do and presents to badly wrap! Sorry for keeping y’all waiting 🙂

As the title of this post suggests, this is all about Steifvater’s book Lament. Before I go on to tell you what I think of this book, I need to add that being as doltheaded as I am, I read ‘Ballad’ before I read this book-fans of the series will know that if you read the books in order you read Lament then Ballad…not the other way around. I have more to add about my stupidity later, you just need to know about the book first!

So, Lament is all about the girl named Deirdre Monaghan who is a musical genius who plays the harp-small scale wise not like celebrity famous or anything! She is extremely gifted and has an almost perfect life apart from having her evil Aunt Delia (She is so so so evil, I will not give anything away but…evil!). Dee (for short) has a best friend named James who is also a musical genius, but he plays the pipes.
In Dee’s almost perfect world, she meets a boy named Luke Dillon. From then on, things begin to get extremely weird. More
